Evaluating a Settlement

Giving off the right vibes
If we have finished all of the preliminary matters, the pre-trial is usually the first time when there is a serious opportunity to reach a settlement of your case. No matter how long your case seems to be taking, it is very important that the opposing side never feels that you are in a hurry to settle. You must make them believe that you are ready, willing and able to take your case all the way to the highest court in the land—if that's what it takes—unless they make a fair settlement offer.

That is why we normally do not contact the opposing attorneys or the insurance company to discuss money until your case is in a position in court for a fair settlement offer to be reached. But there are some exceptions. If you are in a position where you simply cannot wait for the best possible settlement, you must let us know and we will do our best for you no matter where the case currently stands.

We encourage you to call us periodically to monitor the progress of your case. You are also welcome to make an appointment to come in and discuss your case any time you wish.
