Our client was an 84-year old nursing home resident who fell several times sustaining a broken hip. Upon return to the nursing home, he suffered dislocation of his prosthesis, necessitating further surgery and developed bedsores, which did not improve. The progression of the bedsores led to bilateral amputations of the lower limbs. We were able to settle this matter and obtain a significant amount for each of his four sons.

We obtained a settlement on the eve of trial for a 70-year old man who had at least one fall in a nursing home. The fall led to a fractured hip, which dislocated two times, and also the development of bedsores. His condition continued to deteriorate and both his legs were amputated.
