Responding
to Interogatories
When
we reach the interrogatory stage in your case, you will need to answer
in writing questions submitted by the opposing attorneys a allow us to
review your answers and send them back to the opposing attorneys.
Each
side in a lawsuit has the right to require the other side to answer interrogatories.
You can be sure that we are sending the defendant's attorneys interrogatories
f to gain information that will strengthen your case.
Answer
the Questions Carefully
Please
answer the interrogatory questions very carefully. Your answers will
be given under oath and may be used later on to contradict anything
else you might say. Don't worry if you don't have all of the information.
We will fill in any gaps from what we have in our files. Also, don't
worry about how you phrase your answers. We will read them and put them
in proper legal language. Please be sure to write out your answers
and return them to Michael R. Panter & Associates as soon as possible
after receiving the interrogatories. Enclose any bills or other
information you have collected about your case and mail your completed
answers to our office. The address is on the back of this brochure.
After the interrogatories are completed, the next step is normally the
deposition. If you have any questions about the interrogatory process,
please be sure to call us at (312) 782-0933.
